"T" Style Blind Rivet

T-style blind rivets are single-sided fasteners designed to form a broad head on the blind side of an assembly, creating a T-shaped bearing surface that resists pull-through in thin or oversized holes. They are installed from one side using a standard blind rivet tool; as the mandrel is drawn, the rivet body deforms to form the T-shaped profile and the mandrel breaks off at the specified break point. These rivets are commonly used where access to the backside is restricted and where a larger contact area is needed to distribute load across fragile substrates or soft materials. Available in a range of body and mandrel materials and surface finishes, T-style blind rivets accommodate different environments and base materials. They are suitable for joining sheet metal, composites, plastics, and layered assemblies in applications such as enclosures, ductwork, and panel fabrication. Selection should consider grip range, hole size, material compatibility, and the required shear and tensile performance for the intended application.
