Mate Rivets
Mate rivets are blind fasteners designed to join two or more layers where access is available from only one side. They are available in common industrial materials such as aluminum, steel and stainless steel, and in a range of head styles and finishes to suit different substrate combinations and appearance requirements. Installation is performed with a manual hand riveter, pneumatic tool or hydraulic setting tool; the rivet is inserted into a prepared hole and the mandrel is pulled to form a blind-side bulge that clamps the assembly. Selection is based on material compatibility, hole preparation and the combined thickness of the joined parts, and proper grip range and hole size should be confirmed before assembly. Mate rivets are used in sheet metal fabrication, enclosures, HVAC, automotive trim and general assembly where a permanent, vibration-resistant joint is required. Careful tool selection and appropriate corrosion considerations will ensure reliable performance in typical industrial applications.
