"Tri-Grip" Blind Rivet

The "Tri-Grip" blind rivet is a multi-leg blind fastener designed for joining materials when access to the back side is restricted. Its three-legged stem expands behind the workpiece as the mandrel is pulled, forming a broad blind-side bearing that distributes load across a larger area than a single-split rivet. This geometry helps secure thin or soft substrates and can reduce pull-through in fragile panels. Suitable for use with sheet metal, composite panels, plastics and assemblies with dissimilar materials, the rivet installs from one side using a standard blind rivet tool. Available in common fastening materials to match application corrosion and strength needs, it is used where a stable clamping force and consistent set height are required. Typical applications include enclosure assembly, HVAC ductwork, automotive trim, and general fabrication. Selection should consider grip range, hole size, and material compatibility for proper performance.
